About Us
In 2011 our family opened a bakery on Elm Street called Queen City Cupcakes. The city welcomed our little shop, and we continue to thrive downtown.
Pop of Color started as a couple of shelves inside of the cupcake shop until we outgrew the space and moved Pop down the street. Many of you see our crew running back and forth on a daily basis to cover both shops. Although a great way to get steps in, not always the most convenient for coverage😊 We have wanted to re-combine the shops for a couple of years but hadn’t found the perfect spot until we finally realized…we already had it! Pop has a very large back room that was under-utilized and larger than our current kitchen (cheers for more baking space) so, construction has started, and we will be moving at the end of this year/Jan 2023.
Cannot wait for our brand-new kitchen, our crew reunion, and of course, 1 rent is better than 2!! One thing that won’t be changing – our sweet treats and fabulous local made goods, gifts & plants! We turned 11 at QCC and 6 at Pop this year, and we are so thankful to all of you for keeping us busy over all these crazy years!
Excited to see what the future brings under one roof!
